song possibilities EDITED AS OF 19/04/17

For our media product we didn't really have any song choices as we had heard a specific song played in our class. The song we chose to make a video to is Bloodstream by FireHorse in which she has enabled us to use by giving us permission. As we already had an idea of the video that we wanted to make from hearing the song in class, the search for a song was very limited as we were looking for something very specific which coincedentally happened to be Bloodstream by Firehorse. We were hesistant to pick this song as a group in a previous year had already used it and we didnt want ot have to worry about copying this song. We were also hesitant about picking the song incase it wasnt orignal enough as we didnt want to completely copy the other group a few years ago which was a worry.

Strengths

Strengths of using Bloodstream by Firehorse is that it fits our music video idea really well as the time signature and the way the track moves through different stages  has influenced our idea for our music video.
The song bloodstream also relates to the theme and the type of shot we predominantly want to use in our video which is a point of view shot but we are trying to figure out if that could work with our idea or whether we need to broaden our shot type more for our video to achieve the look we want for our video.
The recording is also fairly good quality which makes it easy to understand the lyrics.
The lyrics also fit in with our idea for our music video which is based around the awareness of the effects of alcohol
The rhythm of the song allows for us to have effective editing as the rhythm is steady and repeats the same beats. This allows for us to easily follow the beat that we are editing to and also makes it easier to cut shots and time them to hit the beat.
As the song has different chapters within it this allows for our narrative to take a darker turn. Within our music video we have used the modulation from the songs normal minor key to its darker major key to exhibit the climax of our video and then rewind it all  and have repeating shot. This saves us time when filming and going and selecting the shots to use.
The vocals offer us a variety of notes but at the end of the song and at other points the vocals become higher pitched and rougher which allowed us to convey moments of the singer and other events of the video which would not be considered a climax but aare still important.
Negatives

The song is quite steady but we think it may be quite difficult to cut to the exact beat as we plan on having quite few different cuts
