These are our annotated lyrics in which we have multiple a3 sheets with them on which also feature what we want in each different shots. (These are featured in an earlier blog post.) We also want to feature how they relate to the themes of the song such as drugs and the effects of alcohol which is featured in this picture of our lyrics from the song Bloodstream.
We will link the lyrics to the visuals in our music video by inferring the effects of drug taking and
then having them completely undone which isn't glorifying drug/ alcohol abuse rather allowing for the audience to briefly see the effects (Bella's character being passed out) but not ruining the ambiance of our music video.
We will make our video appropriate for our constructed audience by not explicitly showing drug taking but showing the effects of it therefore inferring that the character had taken drugs and consumed alcohol.
So, the song is about drug taking, how will you link the narrative of your video to these lyrics? How will you pick up on the meaning of the song without glorifying / endorsing drug taking? How will you make your video appropriate for your constructed audience?
